I had seen this exact garment rack at the local blood donor location. I checked it over very well and knew it would fit well and look good in my home. It took me a while to find it at the price I wanted to pay. The reviews I had read indicated that the shipping container was damaged pretty severely pretty often, but the rack still received decent reviews. I was not as happy with the product as I was hoping. Other than the carton being beaten up pretty well, it was obvious that the unit was not new. There were scuffs and a couple of dents and bent metal from, I assume, somebody trying to put it together. The scuffs did not wipe off unfortunately. Also, 5 of the 12 hangars were scuffed on the hook of the hangar and the body of the hanger. 4 of those 5 looked like somebody scraped it along some rough cement about 5 or 6 times. The top shelf is mounted tightly, but it's not very level and there is a gap between the frame and the shelf on both the right and left sides. The bottom shelf is looks great. I think it's because the hanging rod is about 1/4 inch too long. We took it apart twice and tried different things, but there was no making it right. I went to the blood center and checked theirs out and the one there is much better. With all that said, the seller was very responsive to my concerns and offered to return part of my payment. All things considered, with the coats hanging there and things on the shelves, it looks and works fine. And the refund definitely removed some of the sting.Arrived with broken joint. I got a replacement unit after contacting the seller (thank you, great customer service). I assembled the unit and it looks great and I got plenty of rack space with the double racks (it's like getting a new closet). Also you get plenty of shelf space on the top shelf that you can use for caps, helmets, gloves, etc (probably not a good idea of heavy items).I would have given this item 5 stars rating except for my concern about how the two vertical T stands joints are built (joined by the veneer coating, really, rather than an actual joint as I found out with the first broken unit that did not survive shipping.The hangers are fantastically sturdy and they are perfect for the coat closet. However, I'm not certain they were made by Quartet. I have Quartet hangers at work, and they are stamped with the company logo and the ones I received are not. Regardless, they are high quality, heavy duty hangers that do the job I needed them to do.I have about 60 hangers that are Quartet and I wanted some more that matched. The last time I bought these they were about $20 for a dozen, which was ridiculous, but now they were $40, twice as ridiculous, but after a few days I broke down and ordered them anyways just because I wanted them to all match. Well the hangers that came are not Quartet but Lorell. Now, they look identical and the only difference is these do not say Quartet like my old ones and the new box says Lorell 01065. So what should I think? The hangers are fine, but if I would have order the Lorell I would have saved $10 and the Amazon listing clearly say "Quartet" and makes no mention of it being an identical replacement. This had lead to my negative review.Don't do it! You'll be sorry! Quite frankly, it's simply not worth the price. Just average quality. It wasn't nearly as well manufactured as I expected. Firstly, I discovered that four of the twelve included hangers were missing. Secondly, and most importantly, two of the screw receivers on the top, right support were defective. The holes were slightly oversize. I was unable to tighten the screws and securely attach the top shelf. Repackaging was challenging. Returning to Amazon.2nd time is the charm.Had to order a replacement. The first one came in missing parts and the box in pieces2nd arrived with minimal damage. A few rub marks and a chip or two but nothing worth sending it back for.Wish they would include an umbrella stand on both sides since they have holes and screws already in place..These hangers are very sturdy and hold our heavest coats and overalls. They seem to fit a bit closer to the closet rod than the ones I had prior, so if you have a lot of things with high collars then these might not be for you. Also sometimes clothes will slide off, which is of course very annoying.I love it it's perfect for behind my door as I enter my condo. I had a coat rack before it was horrible. All the coats piled up on top of one another. Now my shoes hats and coats are Nice and neat and compact.My 2 day prime delivery turned into 3 weeks. The box was mangled and did not contain any assembly instructions.Product was scratched and was missing the feet that go on the bottom of the rack.
